Excellent start for the Russian Paralympic Team at Rosa Khutor
This past holiday weekend 5 medals captured by alpine skiers replenished the medal box of the Russian Paralympic Team.
Inga Medvedeva, Valery Redkozubov, Ivan Frantsev and Alexandra Frantceva, Alexey Bugaev – the stars of the Russian Paralympic skiing — are familiar with the slopes of Rosa Khutor. A year ago at the alpine ski resort “Rosa Khutor” they fought for the medals at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Cup.
The 2014 Paralympic Winter Games became the new and more significant challenge for the Russian athletes. And we are pleased that the slopes of Rosa Khutor brought our team luck and well-deserved victory! Alexandra Frantceva won two medals for the Russian Paralympic team: in the International Women's Day Alexandra was the third in the women’s visually impaired downhill, and on March 10 she came second in the super-G slalom. On March 8 Inga Medvedeva recorded the second result in the women’s downhill standing class. Alexey Bugaev showed the brilliant result becoming on March 8 the silver medalist in the men’s standing downhill, and on March 9 he won the bronze medal in the super-G.
