“I am proud of what I built!” Olympic Torch Relay includes Rosa Khutor employees.
12 employees of Rosa Khutor resort are going to take part in the Olympic Torch Relay which started its way round Russia today. The Relay finishes on the 7th of February when the Olympic Fire is lit in Sochi and the XXII Winter Olympic Games begin.
«I consider myself a patriot!», «I am proud of taking part in the construction of an Olympic Venue», «I have a proactive approach to life»… The field «Why exactly do you deserve to carry the Olympic Fire» in an extensive application form for participation in the relay takes a humble last line. But it is this line that, among other objective data, shows the most genuine information, the personal attitude of the people who built Olympic Venues! The Rosa Khutor team did a wonderful job to make the Olympic competitions in Alpine skiing, snowboard and freestyle a large-scale and unforgettable spectacle! We congratulate the most worthy employees of Rosa Khutor – construction workers, rescuers, engineers, designers – on the high honor of representing the team of the resort at different stages of the Olympic Torch Relay.
Alexey Bukinich, alpinist, first holder of the honorary title “Snow Leopard of Russia” who works as a rescuer at Rosa Khutor says: “I am carrying the Olympic torch in Nalchik. For me as a professional alpinist this town is very special. Taking part in the Olympic Fire Relay is a great honor for me. First of all, because by running a distance with the Olympic Fire in my hand I can express my personal involvement into the great sports event not only as a professional providing safety at the Olympic Venue but as a citizen of Russia! What is equally important is that our participation in the relay enhances the prestige of Rosa Khutor ski resort, where all the Alpine competitions of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games will be staged!”
