Summer at the height! On the 29th of September the first summer season at Rosa Khutor was over.
From the middle of June till the end of September the resort was visited by more than 104 000 tourists.
During the past summer the amazing tour on the ski lifts “Olympia”, “Zapovednyy Les” and “Kavkazskiy Express” was in great demand among the guests of the resort. The success of the lifts was not surprising as it was the first time when the residents of Sochi and tourists coming to the resorts of the Black Sea coasts were offered a fast and comfortable way to get to the empyrean altitude of 2320 m! Our guests will keep the best memories about the trip up to the top of the Aibga ridge while changing several climatic zones. Judging by the comments, a lot of guests were also impressed by the endpoint of the trip – Rosa Peak viewpoint. Here, from the summer terrace of the high-mountain restaurant Nebesa, in good sunny weather one can see not only mountains of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range, Alpine meadows and forests of Sochi National Park but also… the Black Sea! In addition to this trip by lifts guests were offered free guided tours. The personnel of Rosa Khutor acting as excursion guides, showed the guests the sights of the resort, told them about the history of the place, showed them sports and infrastructure facilities of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games.
Every weekend during the summer season different sites of the resort hosted sports and entertainment events, main of them being a part of the Summer at the Height Sports Fest. A wide program of events for kids and family included family marathons, kite festival, shooting range and many others…
Guests who love active leisure took part in a hiking tour to the Kamennyy Stolb peak (2509 meters above sea level) – one of the most beautiful peaks of the Caucasian mountains. At 1600 meters above sea level there was a climbing wall – a natural rock with especially prepared climbing trails, one of which was designed for kids of 5 and older.
Every Saturday morning guests could join a free yoga practice conducted by a certified coach at Rosa Peak (2320 meters above sea level). At the lower station in Rosa Valley, an exhibition by Kirill Umrikhin, one of the best action-photographers in Russia, was a big success. Amazingly expressive photos perfectly showed the viewer the romance of the mountains, the breathtaking power of Alpine sports, the beauty and the irresistible charm of our resort in winter.
