First snow at Rosa Khutor
Yesterday, on the 5th of September, the first snowfall of this season was recorded at Rosa Peak, 2320 meters above sea level.
Nature is full of surprises. In 2011 the first snowfall was recorded on the 12th of September, while last year, in 2012, the Caucasian mountains got their first snow cover as late as the 8th of November! Yesterday snow at Rosa Khutor slopes and consequently heavy rain at Rosa Plateau and Rosa Valley not only make skiers and snowboarders happy, but also complicate the excursion tours for the guests and the work of hundreds of construction workers. However, the weather forecast promises clear and sunny weather in the mountains for the next week.
Unfavorable weather forecast for the coming weekend adjusted the program of the Saturday festival at Rosa Khutor ski resort. The Kite festival which was planned for the 7th of September is postponed for three weeks – for the 28th of September. We hope that the weather will let us carry out sports and entertainment events planned for the end of the season: “Shooting Club” (September 14) and “Mini-golf” (September 21).
