V. Putin visited the Paralympic competitions at Rosa Khutor
On march 9 President of the Russian Federation V. Putin visited the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center during the Paralympic men’s super-G competitions.
At the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center President of the Russian Federation V. Putin discussed the current competitions with Vice President of the Italian National Olympic Committee Luciano Buonfiglio and Ambassador of the International Paralympic Committee Eric Villalon Fuentes. The representatives of the foreign Paralympic delegations highly evaluated the level of the Paralympic Games in Sochi.
That day the prize medals in the men’s visually impaired class were distributed as follows: Canadian Mac Marcoux got the third place on the medal stand, American Mark Bathum won the silver medal. Slovakian athlete, Jakub Krako became the gold winner of that competition. Among the Paralympic alpine skiers in the standing super-G the representatives of Austria Marcus Zalcher and Matthias Lanzinger won the gold and silver medals. Russia’s Alexey Bugaev became the bronze medalist of the competition. Japanese alpine skiers were the dominant leaders in the men’s sitting class: Taiki Mori won the silver medal, Akira Kano – the gold medal. Canadian Caleb Brousseau became the bronze medalist of the competition.
